Our Team
Kate (Director) - I have a Bachelor in Social Work, Diploma of School Aged Education and Care and I've been working at CCC since 2011! I have loved creating a deep and nurturing rapport with the children, families and community during my time here. It is so rewarding to see the positive impact this centre has on the lives of so many people. I have particularly enjoyed hiring and working alongside a huge number of people I used to care for when they were children attending the centre. Seeing the long term impact of the care, kindness and support this service provides and how it shapes our future generations is why I have stayed for so many years! When I'm not at work I love nature walks, reading, markets, travelling and cooking.
Irene (Assistant Director & Educational Leader) - I have been part of CCC since 2016 and was also a student at Coogee Public School, so being part of this community is very special to me. During my time at the service, I completed my Certificate IV and Diploma of School Age Education and Care. Outside of work, I love travelling, spending time at the beach, cooking, and enjoying live music with friends. My favourite part about working at Coogee Care Centre is the strong connections I've built with the children, families and wider community. I especially enjoy creating memorable experiences through vacation care programs, incursions and community events while watching the children learn, grow and have fun each day.
Andre (RP & QA2 Leader - Children's Health and Safety) - I am very passionate about health and fitness, with a Bachelors degree in Science (Health) and currently completing a Doctor of Physiotherapy. I love developing children's confidence, relationships, and motor skills through sport (especially soccer!). It has been a privilege watching the children develop their own unique personalities while working alongside some fantastic educators. It's great to be a part of such a close knit community here!
Emilee (RP & QA3 Leader - Physical Environment)
Lauren (Responsible Person) - I have been working at CCC since 2019. I’m currently studying Primary School Teaching, and CCC has given me so many amazing experiences that have helped me grow both personally and professionally. My favourite part is getting to interact with the children, families and staff. No matter how tired I am, walking into the centre and being greeted by all the happy faces is always an instant energy boost!

Janine (Food Supervisor) - I am a mother of 3 and have worked at CCC since 2021. I'm a Coogee Public alumni and have been associated with the school for many years helping out in the library, canteen, classes and community events. I love the beach, movies, craft, reading and of course cooking. I love both my roles at CCC as I get to feed the children new and exciting recipes and I'm also able to experience the programmed activities as well, including knitting club. My favourite moments are definitely the genuine appreciation the kids show. All the thank yous, the smiles, the have a nice days, the see you tomorrows. That's what makes me smile.

I also enjoy spending time at the beach, staying active, and watching all kinds of sport. My favourite part about working at CCC is the positive environment and seeing the children’s personalities grow. I really enjoy building connections with the kids, having fun with them and being a positive role model. I’ve been here since 2020 and have loved every moment. Ruby - I’ve been an educator at CCC since 2023. Outside of CCC I’m studying, working and training. I’m in my final year of study of a Bachelor of Primary Education at the University of Sydney, I play Touch Football for Easts Roosters and the Australian Emus. I also work casually as a teacher at a few local schools and am a Surf Lifesaver at Coogee SLSC. I love building relationships with the children and engaging with them as they play, learn and grow. I also love being a part of the Coogee community and having a chance to get to know our families. I love that everyday is a fresh start with our Coogee kids, and I particularly love being active with them. Lots of running around, playing sports and different games as they develop as young people.

Alex - I am originally from São Paulo, Brazil. I have almost ten years of experience volunteering as an educator in a Christian school supporting children’s academic, social, and emotional development. I studied Clinical Psychology in Brazil and worked with children in school settings, which strengthened my understanding of child development and wellbeing. Currently, I am studying to become an Early Childhood Teacher, as I am passionate about the foundational years of learning. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy cooking traditional Italian family recipes and baking cakes, bringing people together through food and connection.
Alessia - I’m currently studying a Diploma of Nursing. Outside of work, I love keeping active by going to the gym, running, pilates, but mostly spending time with family and friends. My favourite part about working at CCC is being part of such a fun and supportive environment where children feel safe, happy, and confident. I especially enjoy spending time with the children, getting involved in games, arts and crafts, and seeing their personalities and creativity grow over the years!

India - I am a new educator at CCC. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Sydney and I love reading, working out and baking. My favourite thing about working at CCC is getting to spend time with the children, and being part of a supportive team that creates a fun and positive environment for the kids daily. Working here has been such a fun and energetic experience as I always leave feeling fulfilled by the children's energy and happiness. I am grateful to be able to begin building relationships with the children and seeing how their young minds develop overtime!
Charlie - I’m currently in my third year studying a Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced Studies). I’m originally from WA so in my free time I love playing AFL and staying active. My favourite part about working at CCC is how welcoming everyone is. I love that by spending time with children, my inner child comes out!
